NHCC Foundation Receives $10,000 Gift Toward the Alan LePage Second Chance Scholarship

    February 9, 2012

NHCC received a $10,000 donation from Marilyn Davis of New Hope. Her donation will go towards the Alan LePage Second Chance Scholarship, which helps students who have struggled with alcohol and/or drug addiction.

This scholarship is close to Mrs. Davis’s heart because Alan LePage was her grandson, who lost his life at the young age of 26.

Mrs. Davis’s wish is to give others a second chance at life, which is why the LePage family personally reviews the scholarship applications and selects the recipients. Peggy and Jeff LePage established the scholarship in their son’s honor in 1996.

Jennifer Summer-Lambrecht, NHCC Foundation’s executive director, says, “The generosity of donors like Mrs. Davis makes a huge difference in the lives of students who are trying to turn their lives around.”
