Students To Achieve Rewarding Success
STARS is a scholarship program for students entering 7th or 8th grade, who are nominated by their teachers and/or guidance counselors. This is a thematic, week-long workshop each summer that explores a different academic discipline. STARS focuses on applicable learning in a college environment by providing additional educational opportunities and promoting the goal of attending college.
Past themes have been CSI - focusing on Science; We Built This City - focusing on Ecology & Geography; The Apprentice - focusing on Business; and Star Search - focusing on Theater.
The theme in Summer 2012 will be Law & Order - focusing on different areas of Law. It will take place during the mornings of July 9-13 (Monday-Friday) on NHCC's campus.
