Counseling, Advising & Career Planning

The Counseling, Advising & Career Planning (CACP) office is located in the Educational Services building.  Counselors and advisors are available to help students achieve their educational goals. Counselors also provide personal and career counseling. CACP houses the Career Resource Center which provides information on careers, degrees, transfer guides for other colleges, and tools for making an informed career decision.

·     Understanding  how to use your Degree Audit Report (DARS) 
·     Developing a long-range educational plan

Counseling

 

NHCC counselors are professionally trained, credentialed counselors.  Counselors provide students support and short-term counseling for a variety of issues, and may provide referrals to internal and external resources. Counselors also teach career development and student success courses, provide programs including Mental Health & Wellness Days, and faciliate groups. Appointments

Appointments are required for questions related to transfer, course planning and graduation checks. Appointments are 30 minutes in length. Schedule your appointment by calling763-424-0703.

Walk-ins

Have a quick question? Stop by our office to visit with an advisor for five to ten minutes during walk-ins. A sign-up sheet is available. Walk-ins are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. The length of wait time will vary.   The Walk-in Schedule varies, please call the office at 763-424-0703 to inquire about the walk in schedule when you plan to come in.
